This thing is rediculous! Ive been running it for about 30 minutes to break it in. Only filled the sump with just fresh rodi sw and this is whats coming out. This is the dust from sitting around for so long.

Time for an update. I got a sicce 1.5 for my return. Got some sand and about 15 lbs of rock. I like a more open scape so this seemed about right. Im using brightwell bio cubes and some rubble in the sump for extra surface area. Cloudy now, but hoping to see the scape soon.

I need some help deciding on lights to use. With so many choices it can be hard. Im looking to go mixed reef. Really wanting the ability to grow high light sps as well. Thinking kessil ap700, 2 hyrda 26's, the new maxpect r5150, the orpheck v4, and even a 6 bulb t5. Also I'm trying to decide on fuge light. Wondering if i should get the h80 or the a80. Not sure about chaeto or just live rock and a place for new frags to acclimate.

I would go T5 or Orphek

I like your rock work! Looking good
Thank you. I only used about 15lbs in the displayb but it looks like more to me. It goes 2/3 of the way up but plenty of swimming room. There's another 5lbs and some bio spheres in the sump.

Seems like that should be plenty.
I used 50lbs dry in my 75 and some marinepure spheres in the sump. Probably overkill, but I'm happy with the scape.

I like the shelf areas in yours and the rubbly spots at the bottom.

Im pretty satisfied with it. Theres about 20 or so rocks all together. I got to hand pick them at two different lfs. They gave up waiting on me and told me just to tell them what it weighed when i was done sifting through a few hundred lbs. I was literally building scapes in the store for hrs. Way too much fun.

I forgot to add that if you haven't covered or converted your outlet to a GFIC yet, I go to the hardware store and get a waterproof outlet box, cover, an extension cord, and a GFIC. Then I screw the box into the stand under the tank and install the outlet as a dedicated source in my stand. Then the extension cord is wired up as a feed to the outlet and plugged into my wall away from the tank. Works well in my experience and separates the tank from your wall with an extra layer of security.

Still trying to decide on lights its getting close to time for them. If i go t5 ive been looking at geismann and ati. For the giesmann price i could get the dimmable ati. Is that worth it? The giesmann looks so much better imo. Also two 360's and the hybrid looks great in the tank. Best of both i guess but without a canopy, it doesnt look as good...

Ok, its been a while since ive updated. I have decided on a few more things. I am not running a macro fuge. I am going with a "frag spot" below in the fuge area. Also i have decided on lights. I am doing t5 on the display and led in the spot. Got the led on the 22nd so 2 weeks today. Cut some frags and threw them in there too.

The t5 is way more blue in the picture. It actually really white to the eye. Maybe too white. Im running half blue+ and half coral+. Thinking i may swap for an atinic or a purple or even another blue+.
