I’ve been having some issues since I tried to “rescue “ 2 fags in august with the tiniest amount of gha I dipped in H202 and put them in tank everything seemed to be going good numbers were good and all of the sudden boom it was everywhere slowly kept losing coral ( I bet atleast 15 frags lost ) but numbers were still within range and then I had tests for a few weeks with 0 no3 but i got levels back up and I’ve been doing manual removal and just completed a 3 day blackout to knock it back which seemed to help a lot but don’t want it to become a issue again. Wanting to know what’s best course of action? Dose beneficial bacteria to outcompete the gha and what I assume is Dino’s ? don’t have microscope to confirm but based on looks I’m pretty sure. Pictures for reference on parameters, what algae looks like and pictures of the frags that introduced algae , as well as before and after the “crash “ and a current picture since I’ve added some free frags from a buddy that are doing mediocre at best . I need advice or best plan moving forward ?

I think that’s what I’m gonna end up doing I’ve been trying to do it through feeding but if I feed to much po4 gets high
It seems somewhat counter-productive, but it helped me push through the ugly stage. Both No3 and Po4 were steady at 0.0, even with overfeeding flake, prepared and reef roids.

Tank looks much more alive and has some collar ,green hair algae still present but definitely dying off hoping the coral and the refugium I sent up out compete algae

Here’s a couple better pics of the frags only been in the tank for 40 ish hours but so far going better than any other try but algae still present definitely going away though surgery tomorrow so now I just sit back and watch and hope for the best . And wife said she’ll be doing my weekly water changes for a month or 2 so that will be great! Wish me luck on keeping coral alive and seeing growth and also hopefully finally being rid of the hair algae soon

My view from the couch just had back surgery couple days ago have to just watch tank let it rid hope for the best all frags still doing good test kit levels are all good but algae still present on rockwork it’s fairly easy to pull off but not very Mobil or flexible

Pic from after the laminectomy

But anyway my wife ordered some stuff for me and should be here in a day or 2. I got really long tongs with rubber grips so that should help me grab onto algae and pull out and a scraper on a stick that will work better than my knock off flipper magnet. I’m gonna use to scrape the glass so it’s better viewing. I’m gonna try to do it as much as I can but very weak can’t sit longer than 30 min can’t stand longer than 20 so it’s all a wonky kinda deal and painful so not sure how much I’ll actually get out . then she had also got floconazole to try out because I had talked about it previously if I wasn’t able to get rid of it. It’s been a long obnoxious battle I’m slowly seeing tiny results after months but can’t keep ahead of it . That being said I’m very weary because I have frags in there that are actually doing good for the first time i have the right levels of everything water parameters are stable even though the gha or turf algae whatever it is all of the corals are happy Bali green slimer looks washed out in video because I don’t have any color filter things for tanking pictures. But everything has excellent polyp extension and coloration so far and it’s been almost a week so I’m hopeful. Here is a video from a phone not best quality but it’s all I got haha will try to get some good quality pics here soon and floconazole should be here within a few days got enough to treat 2 times if needed going to go a tiny light on it and treat twice with large water changes in between my wife and a fellow hobbyists offered to perform all my maintenance for me so I’m very blessed wish me luck and if anyone has any input on floconazole when they treated tips or tricks maybe I’m missing something but that’s my plan as of now manual removal big butt water changes and then ordering the refugium macro pack from brs with extra pods ( even though my tanks is crawling with pods it couldn’t hurt haha) alright I’ll stop rambling let’s hear your thoughts and share your experience on how you beat gha
