Couple zoa pics 1st from July second this month. I think sunny ds and the top zoa was called fireball or something. I’m contemplating putting a disc under both to possibly help growth but I’m in no rush.

Also someday I may invest in a filter cause my pics are terrible!

It’s a about 1,1/2-2” longer and about 1,1/2-2” shorter width wise. Haven’t had the fixture long enough to monitor temp but so far it has swung about 0.2 degrees higher and it’s midday on the light schedule. I do have a 20g(10g of water almost) sump so that probably helps with temp stability. We probably have a 15g difference depending on our stocking. One thing I’ll say is the aquablue definitely gives a(in my opinion) classic daylight look in which really observing every detail is a bit easier. Mixed with the leds and blue+ it definitely doesn’t have a yellow appearance some worry about.

I got both aquablue and blue+ too. Thanks for the info.

New toys. Phosphate came out as 0.08 & 0.06 so far. I’m excited to see how the Kamoer x1 works with its app and calibrate/accuracy. Studying for a test so could be a few days till I really get to mess with the pump.
Thought I might also add I’ve been daily testing with the Hannah alkalinity checker and have nailed down 8.0 dkh. With a second bottle of reagent ready I’ll soon switch to checking every 3-4 days then weekly. Hopefully!

Third phosphate test 0.06

Thought I’d share some pics. Glass is dirty but I keep it with some growth at all times. I’d like to note I made an attempt at introducing a 1-1.5” tuxedo urchin but he did not make it. My best guess is do to transportation & acclamation. He arrived in cold water and I was hasty in transitioning him to the tank. Can only blame myself cause he came with 2 still warm handwarmers. I have one more shipment coming soon from BC but hopefully temps raise a little first. Blurry pic of my mp10 to show coralline growth in 5-6 weeks. I’m sitting around 8.2 alk dosing All for Reef. My thoughts are that the product won’t support the alkalinity levels needed in my tank while at max dose of 30mL. Also I haven’t done the math but cost could be a bit much I guess?? I just want to grow stuff haha..
So my plan which I’ve started is to switch to ESV B-ionic two part. I’ve been considering how to add the supplements to take advantage of pH and prevent abiotic processes. I’ve already got my 1g supplements just waiting for my All for Reef to run out. Oh I also picked up a second Kamoer X1 waiting and already primed/calibrated.

This is what I imagine when I hear “fire & ice”
The blue zoas took awhile to come around as I kept scrubbing them down litteraly to remove algae. The fireball zoas probably need a space to growout so I think I’m going to try making it to where they eventually clash with each other.

Well on spring break and I made bad decisions! Added a couple acan/micro lords, and I believe a starburst cap. After my 2 frags from BattleCorals arrives I’ll attempt some pics once they’ve settle a bit. Ugh just remembered I still need a ruler!

So the worst thing I’ve done the last week or so for my tank is add a lot of bioload and add a clam. The clam looks ok except when my bleeny lands on it and responds well to shadowing. Below you’ll find my battlecoral competition frag and my other frags. Hopefully now I keep my dang hands away from the tank.

Also the glass is dirty but I’ll take better pics in a month or so.. if I manage to grow stuff. Oh and I’ll give updates on the maxima.

Alk has been stable at 8.1 for a few days so my switch to esv b ionic has been smoother then I imagined it would be. The pH has risen as I’ve met my alk goal and I’m not tonsure what to think. I was thinking about whether or not I should use my dosing to attempt creating a narrower pH range.

I need to figure out how to get my pictures to not look so washed out.. I do zero editing. Anyway made permanent homes for all of my older zoas. Bugatti appears to have taken over my Duncan and my new BC Secale looks happy in its new home. The Secale looks the most washed out but I’ll keep trying.

Got some updates coming but for now check out my Black Cherry blasto. I messed up in my opinion when I glued this down without making sure there was a nice clean surface right next to the established heads. Now I’ve got baby polyps growing in a weird spot... atleast they are growing.

Haven’t been updating cause I did some bad things as far as adding livestock then removing it.
Also just graduated and with school over I’ve been trying to straighten up the tank and get all leveled again not that it got very crazy but with some coral management I had some fluctuation from 7.5-8.7. Double checked my dosers and lines to be on top of things. Everything looks good just gatta take some pics.
