Hello from alaska

Welcome. What part of Alaska? I have a buddy up there around Anchorage and says the reef keeping community is a little scarce up there.

Anchorage area (eagle river in specific). It is very much so!

Welcome to R2R. I visited Juneau a couple years ago and went to the Macaulay Salmon Hatchery/Aquarium and was fascinated by the diversity of native species in the tanks there. Nothing tropical....all local stuff....and was totally fascinated. Didn't expect to see that diversity in these colder waters.

Again, welcome
