Justin, and I am a reefer. But I'm not addicted to it. I can quit any time I want. No, I really can!
Anyway I'mout here in Utah, just a few miles south of the Great Salt Lake. I've been in this habit,er, hobby for about 2 years now. I have a 30 breeder with no sump or skimmer, PC lighting (soon to get on the LED bandwagon!). One clown, one chalk basslet and a yellow watchman goby. Plus various CUC members. A few softies and a LPS. One benefit of living close to the lake is that there is an area in which Lake Bonneville Tufa Rock (google it) can be found and used in a reef. It looks just like fiji rock and is completely inert. Also the sand in the area is oolitic and clean. Many locals use it in their tanks without any problems. Plus its free! Makes good base rock.
Reef2Reef seems friendly and inviting. I'm looking forward to getting and giving helpful info!
