Thanks @Trixter227Welcome, and like others said get a build thread setup!
Welcome!Hello,
I am Philip, a Mechatronic Engineer (Industrial Automation) and Managing Director of Resolve Automation in Western Australia and I play Tuba in the WA Fire and Emergency Services Concert Band.
I have very little experience with fishkeeping in general, We have an 80L planted tropical tank with some simple fish. The usual bristle nose, 4 Columbian, tetras 5 neons, a pair of guppies, and a solo 8 year old Scissortail Rasbora (the last remaining of a school of 7).
We also have a ~12kL outdoor koi, goldfish, and lily pond.
Other pets are a Frill Neck Lizard and a Russian blue cat named Yekaterina (Kat for short) she is pretty great.
We have just moved into a larger house and decided to start a Reef tank. We have picked up an AquaOne 326 ReefSys and started setting it up. I will post a tank build over in the relevant section.
I have been reading through a bunch of threads and really like the tone here, it really seems like people are interested in sharing experience and helping each other learn. Great to see and I look forward to joining in.

Yeah the information and help here is very good. Sounds like you are having a great time. I would consider buying some from you once my track is cycled but Australian quarantine laws make import of live specimens really hard. Glad our ecosystem is protected though.Philip welcome to the reef. I discovered this forum as it seemed to always come up when I googled a question. Finally joined, then chose to become a supporting member and later a partner member to keep the forum available for others to come. My wife @Ocean_Queenie and I started culturing copepods and phytoplankton eventually selling some on here as a hobbyist. Eventually we decided to try to make a career out of it so we are now sponsors as well. I love the Reef2Reef community here and the wealth of knowledge. Thanks for joining us.
