id love to be able to take some of these amazing macro shots of my corals and fish that so many of the members seem to be able to take. I dont really know anything about photography but am willing to learn. Id like to buy a nice used camera and a new/used macro lense to take pictures with. Id like to get a camera that can take nice macro shots of my corals under my led ai sol lights if that makes a difference. what used or new cameras would you guys suggest for like a $300-400 price range. if what im describing is out of that price range just let me know, it wont hurt my feelings! thanks for the help!

look at pawn shops I got a FINE PIX S3 PRO with a sigma dual purpose lense for 300 bucks and the camera runs 1300 by itself brand new without a lense. He also had a nice cannon d90 with a macro lens on it all ready for under 300. so you can find good deals on cameras just hit the pawn shops and things like that.

I picked up a canon rebel t2i off ebay for 375.00 looks brand new and has worked great

Beyond the camera, a tripod is essential for good macro shots. As you're shopping, watch for a camera with a remote shutter release (I use a remote release cord with my D-SLR). When shooting macros the tiniest movement gets magnified like crazy, so even pressing the shutter release can add blur!
