New to the site but been reading a long time. I currently have a 30g long reef aquarium but I’m not new to the hobby, this is actually my 3rd setup. However, this is my first BTA and I’m looking for advice. I previously had a sebae that thrived.

I’ve had the anemone since last Thursday. Got it online from Live Aquaria. Looked good when I got it. Acclimated for almost 2 hours before introducing to my tank. It attached to my rock work immediately and has moved around several times but staying in the same general area.

My question is....is my BTA dying or on it’s way out?
During the day it kind of opens up. But when my main lights go out it shrivels up to almost nothing and looks like it’s insides are on the outside. My water parameters are stable. Ph 8.1. Salinity 1.026. Nitrates, nitrites and ammonia are all 0. Phos is 0.
I have a Current USA LED light and an AI Prime LED. I’ve attempted to attach a couple pics. One is the anemone “open”. The other is deflated. I also have a clarkii clown that is obsessed with the BTA and have been trying to keep him out of it.

Any thoughts or advice are greatly appreciated!

I would bump your phosphates and nitrates up just a little. Anemones prefer some phosphate present from my experience. The clown could be stressing it out as well but it doesn't look like it is dying just yet.
If possible figure out a way to let it acclimate without the added stress of the clown..

I have about 8 bta’s. One of mine looks like that every night but comes back every day healthy. Don’t know why, but I think he’s ok.

I have four and they all do that from time to time at night.
Sometimes they do it during the day for no apparent reason......
I think it's fine.
