The XR15 lights are weak. Now that I'm running at 100% my corals are flourishing with growth and color.
LFS said to put hammers at 140 PAR. Using AB+ program with modifications by Reef Dude. Running schedule at 82% and in the middle of the tank found a spot where PAR was 140. Hammers slowly declining at that spot.

Don't go from 50 to 82 all at once. You need to increase 1% per day so you don't shock corals.
I was running at 82% for the last two weeks after installing lights. I put program back to 82% where the PAR was 140 at the hammer location in the tank. I moved the hammers to a magnetic frag rack mounted to glass. I will find a spot that has less par, maybe 120 or so and see how they do. Sound like a good plan?

thanks lucky I ran into this post . I was wondering why I Was losing corals when my parameters are great
My tank is 36x22x22 for reference with lights on standard 8 inch RMS mounts. I use diffusers for even spread and no hot spots but it takes away a minimal amount of par like maybe 20 par overall

Yes if your numbers are accurate but I'm doubtful based on my own par test. 120 is fine for hammers with Low flow

I have a 48x24x26 tank with 2 XR 15 blues mounted 7.5 inches over the water and I removed the glass covers and replaced with mesh. Running the AB+ program at 82% intensity I get about 160 PAR at the top 1/2 of the tank with about 80-100 PAR at the bottom. Talked with LFS and they recommended I move the hammers from 140 PAR to an area around 100 PAR with lower flow and watch.

Ok that seems reasonable for the XR15 performance and should be ok for LPS and softs. My torches are mid tank in 250 par. Hammers at the bottom in 125

Hi reefers. I need some help with my new Hammers. I got these two from a well respected LFS just under two weeks ago at the same time I upgraded my lights to two Radion G6 XR15 blues on my 140 gallon mixed reef tank. I was told to put them at 140 PAR, which I did (I have a PAR meter). They looked good for a few days and have been receding since. I am running Reef Dude’s AB+ program. Water parameters are:
Salinity: 1.025
Alk: 9.5 to 10
Ca: 450
Mg: 1475
Nitrate: 10-15
Phosphate: 0.08 to 0.15
pH 8.0 to 8.1
Temp 78.0 to 78.5

Im thinking it’s just too much light. All other corals and fish look fine. Any thoughts?

Update to all who have posted replies. I verified my PAR meter is accurate and water parameters are good. LFS had the hammers at 140 PAR so not too much light but moved to lower light just to be safe. Did KFC dip. LFS suggested it might be a bacterial infection or just stress. Stopped dosing NoPOx to see if that helps. Other than that I’m going to leave them alone for a while and just watch them. Thanks to all who replied.
