Hi all,
I just put a GSP frag in my tank on the bottom and it looks like my hermit crabs are eating it up. Maybe I’m being paranoid because they could be eating the algae from the tank the frag came from but i don’t know! Any help is greatly appreciated!
Cheers and happy reefing :)

Hmm i'd be surprised if he is eating the actual polyps itself. Its likely just cleaning around it. But then again i've never had hermits or crabs, so hopefully someone else replies!

Yeah it doesn't seem like the polyps are being eaten but then again I can't see too much. Also I appreciate all your help on my posts! You've been a very good resouce.

Aww thats very kind of you to say. I'm just paying it forward like others have for me on here. Glad to be able to contribute!

Those little nerds are probably just picking at algae. Gsp reacts by retracting into its “skin”. Should open up when the hermits move on.
