Same here! Searching for an answer, and came across R2R! I liked it, kept going back with other questions, and eventually just joined because I like the people so much. And the knowledge is endless.

— specifically, the acrylic fabrication Q&A thread by turbo’s aquatics was vital for my first experiments with acrylic welding… This prompted me to make a profile here to thank contributors!

(It didn’t hurt that Google’s AI relies heavily on R2R for reefing related sources… it seemed logical to contribute my experience and observations to that database!)

How did you find the community here at Reef2Reef?

I forget the question I had as this seems like a lifetime ago. But I had a specific question regarding my tank at the time. Googled it and one of the first links to pop up was a thread on R2R with someone discussing the same thing. Created an account to post in that thread and the rest is history. Now you can't get rid of me

Well I typed into the search bar that I was looking to solve an issue. Then bam. Slap in the face ....lots of first hand info. I was caught in r2r net-work! I think it was ich!

It’s a fantastic write-up, albeit in a rather technical language!

It took me several days of setting an hour aside to thoroughly read an understand, but it’s incredibly detailed, and goes into nuances I would have never even considered!

Came here from RC way back in the day. It had already started to fizzled into a handful of people bickering when I found a thread about R2R stealing membership. Never looked back lol.

Back in the day, ReefCentral was the only forum around (or atleast the only one I knew about). At some point in time people on the forum stared talking about R2R and here we are.

I don’t have any recollection of how I got here but I found it positive and helpful and fun, and it still is.

I started off over at Nano-reef.com, because my first tank was a 29g Biocube and it seemed like the place to be. If you search my user name over there, you can still find some of my old threads...

Anyhow, over time I noticed that when I searched for reef-related things, R2R came up more and more. As I moved into bigger tanks, I no longer felt like the "nano" was where I wanted to be... that, and the forum UI and everything is much better here. So I made the switch, and here I've been.
