How many fish?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of setting up a 60g cube, and was wondering how many fish I could fit in it? I was going for more smaller fish. How many wrasse could I fit in here, if any? Thanks!!! :)

rule of thumb is for every inch of fish you want 5 gallons of tank water...this is also determined on what type of skimmer you have and how good it is removing "junk" from your tank.

Reef Octopus is a good skimmer...I have a HOB one that I did use on my 40B, worked like a champ and got some good skimmate...

once you DO have a bio load in your tank, you should be emptying the collection cup of the skimmer once a week...

Flashers should be ok, but those dimensions are not ideal as they do use all the tank length you can give them. I would only do 1, two at the most. You could secondly do a Possum Wrasse as well.

So a 12" fish in a 24x24x24 tank? It depends on a lot of factors besides size, sure you didnt mean it as a 100% way of determining a stock list.

Just do your research, look at other tank builds of similar sized tanks (more important to have it close to same dimensions) and see what they have done.

Fairy wrasses would be cool in a 60 cube.

I have a 60 cube with a pair of bpavk ice clowns and a flame wrasse. I plan on adding maybe one more fosh like a possem wrasse or one of those ruby red blennys.

Just my 2 cents but i think you can get as many fish as your pocket can afford but just don't over do it cause they'll all grow in time. BTW i have a reed octopus skimmer rated for 200 gallons on my 150 Gal and it works great. can't wait to see what fish your buying

Maybe 1 or 2 more random fish.

Hogfish in general are not safe with inverts. I have never had a Yellow Candy though, so someone else would need to confirm. Otherwise I think the list is mostly ok. Just need to narrow it down to 7-8 fish :)

Ok I can definelty get rid of the hogfish and the blenny. And of course they will al be placed in probably over the course of at least 6 months.

Sounds like a good combo of fish to me, and yeah hogfish can eat inverts sometimes. If you really want them, just research more about what's reef/ invert safe.
