The Koralia 2 is not too much flow. I have mostly acans, micros, and palys and i have 2 tunze 6025's in a 29gal. And i also have a hang on filter and a HOB refugium with a maxijet 400 on it. Thinking of upgrading to the maxijet 900.
I just put a Koralia 2 in my 29. Man I like that thing. I took out 2 aquaclear 201s. I also have an EHEIM(sp?) 300 gph return and a converted Emperor 300 HOB filter as an additional fuge/Flow. I keep everything. You should be good to go. Try to think of how strong the ocean is when you ar ein it. It throws you every which way. As long as flow is not directly blasting a coral I'm not sure there can too much. Of course there are limits. A Dart return on a 29 gallon might be a bit much... but you get the idea.
well i no the return pump on it is like 350 gph, i have a koralia nano 250 gph, and will be buying the koralia 2 now that has like 600. should that be enough for my nano?
i would but i can pick up a koralia 2 for 20 bucks this weekend from a local reefer. i'm thinking about just buying another koralia 2 while i'm there at the store i'm meeting him at. i'm only 17 so i can't be throwing money around like crazy. is there that big of a size difference between the koralia 2 and the nanostreem 6025's?
But there are many threads that people say they have broken their clips like 3 or 4 times. If you don't want to go through the hassle of returning things, get the korallia. JMHO
edwing, i was just reading a bunch of review on them and heard the same thing. it was split 50/50. half the people said its fantastic and the other half said they have had to return it multiple times. thanks for you imput guys but i don't wanna really have to worry about returning things and it doesnt really bother me that much that the koralia powerheads are prolly a 1/2 inch bigger in diameter. plus 2 koralias 2's cost 60 while 2 tunze 6045's will cost 140. i'm going with the koralia.
