Just recently purchased a new ice cap battery backup and noticed that the fuse is in a ziplock bag. Isn't it suppose to be pre-installed already because the manual never said anything about installing a fuse. I'm guessing this might be a second hand item from retail...

The problem is that I can't install the fuse into the battery backup without it falling off. Tried pushing down into it and twisting but no matter what I do the fuse just falls off.

Any tips on how to fix this? Can I just push it in and add some tape over it to keep it in place?

What are you pushing into what?

Are you putting the fuse into the holder and then screwing that assembly in?

If so, and it’s not staying in, then I would say that it is faulty; I wouldn’t hold the fuse assembly in the unit with tape.

If it’s that the fuse won’t stay in the holder then that might be different.
