Quick question, thanks for the help this far.
I was going to put my piggy, I call him, into a hospital tank Saturday. I was worried the move and meds would stress more than help. (I am one of the few that don’t qt). the spots were more pronounced and moving to the fins and head. When this first appears I bumped up his feedings quite a bit, i wanted to give him a chance to let his immunity do it thing. I stuffed him full of vitamin soaked nori, black worms, clams, frozen mega algae, etc.
I held off Saturday knowing his history of beating velvet hoping he would beat this. Sunday was the same, no let up in spots. Today spots are off fins and head, only see very small specs here and there now.
My question now is how much would you feed? I never fed him to the point he was full. ok to keep feeding him to point of being full or should I back off a bit back to normal levels? He is at least 10 years old, about 8 to 10 inches. He could easily eat 2 large clams and 2 sheets nori. Thoughts?
Thanks again all. Tank would never be the same without my piggy
Shout out to @Paul B
I just got the same fish but it’s an infant. It’s hard to tell with these fish. Mine first couple days I got it. I seen spots developing, but then they went away. I think it could be due to his defence mechanism and or when their stressed.
Again mines an infant and this is what I observed from mine but when they mature they do change colour so it might be a different situation.
First couple days in tank
5th day in tank
