Best pics I can take guys. Would appreciate an ID on this guy, have had him for a couple months now

Might be a Horn Coral of the Genus Hydnophora.

Hm.... I did a google search for hydnophora and didn’t see anything that resembles the coral... from the polyp extensions, to the shape, etc...

It's def an acropora but to small for me to id

looks like a red planet or some type of sarementosa. Could also be a green planet

No way to I'd it from any pictures without coralites showing and new growth. Could be almost anything. Except a hydnophora... :)

It's picking up some nice colors.. Almost looks like millepora, but hard to tell yet. Could also see it being something like PC rainbow

Clearly this is a fine specimen of improving acropora. It is similar to red planet but I think it may have some additional colors that will appear as it makes the transit.

It colored up like this and stopped coloring up any more, but now I’m seeing more and more coralites forming every day....

Not bad for my first experiment Acropora... really digging the pinkish color on it

Quick update on this little guy. It does look a lot like a PC Rainbow

It looks like A. Hycanithus to me, that has not started to table or take the colony form yet.

I thought so too ... however everyone kept saying it’s pc rainbow so I ran with it. It has gotten a little darker since so I think it may just be getting it’s dark color little by little

It could be most anything with those colors. I do have 3 Pc rainbows and all 3 look nothing like one another. Could be that but to me all that matters is that it looks healthy and colorful. All these names, unless it’s a definitive species, which a few around here are very competent at are completely made up. That is growing perfectly, a few months once it shows it’s true growth form will do a lot for a legit ID. Then you will see it’s a very rare Hydnophora....... jk

Update - I’m pretty confident this is the color it’s going to stay... I currently have it at about 650 par
