I've noticed alot of these small red sea slugs all over my tank recently (they look yellow under the microscope, red to my eyes)

anyone know what they are? I've attached pictures taken under 50x magnification

any input would be great! Thank you!

I have no idea, but they are really cute

While I have no idea on the name. I'm curious to what they are eating in your tank that's allowing them to thrive.

I thought so too, but I keep finding these in my sump or around the rock work


I've mainly found them in my sump which is weird

I should mention that these aren't flat, so I doubt they're flatworms

they're small and plump lol round shaped... maybe a nudi? I'm leaning towards some kind of sea slug due to the antennas

Think I figured out what they are after doing some digging

They're Vayssierea and they consume Spirorbis tube worms, as this would make sense since my tank use to be riddled with spirorbis worms and I've noticed a decline in them recently

nope no coral issues that I can see

I ask because slugs and nudis have a strict diet. So, I am very curious as to what their food source is. They could be beneficial or toxic. Does not look like flat worms at all. Too plump. GL on these!
