FTS from last night shot through my orange glasses. Not the greatest shot as the lights were ramping down, but nice nonetheless

CB flaming phoenix monti coming back to life after browning out from the move. Find of looks like lava flow...might change the name[emoji6] . Second pic is a couple weeks after the move, same lighting, as you can see now fluorescence what so ever. I'll see if I can find a pic from before the move

Made a little trade this weekend, traded a brand new CW-50 algae scrubber for some Jawbreakers. These are nice, and lineaged back to joe Bonomo and his colony of Kmaintl jawbreakers.

Reached out to Adam and picked up 10 "BC brownies" for a great price. Not sure what they are just yet, hoping he can help out once I'm able to get a pic with more daylight to it, but dang man I'm excited. Gotta love BattleCorals!

How’re they all looking?
Your tanks been looking great!
Most are looking good. Had a cyano outbreak, and ended up losing 2 frags, and everything was really, really ****** when I over doesed H2O2 buuutt everything is back to being happy. Actually almost.complelty lost my pink cadillac, went down to a single.polyp, but is stable and coming back now. Still dont know what all the BattleCorals frags are other than sps. I'll grab some pics at some point and put them up for all to enjoy.

During a power outage a few days ago I was able to catch my yellow clown goby. I always suspected he was annoying the SPS. Caught him nipping at a new frag i got at RAP. since hes been banned to sump jail, the SPS look super happy. Never realized how much he was a pain for them.

Updated my lighting schedule on may tank, trying out a new theory. I'm now doing two complete schedules a day, starting at 6am, full spectrum until noon-were talking all levels on the hydra 52hds at 100. Then off for 6 hours then on again at 6pm until midnight with just blues at 100, then off for 6 hours and repeat.

Goal is to reach two full photoinhabition periods a day with a full 6 hour reset between each. So far the tank is loving it after a couple days. Awesome PE at both periods, best I've had yet.

What are the two complete lighting schedules supposed to do in terms of coral health/growth? Or do you have another reason for trying it? Just curious.

I read somewhere, cant remember where, that coral reaches a photo-inhibition period, where they have absorbed all their daily needs of light, after a span of 4-6 hours. So doing it this way, the coral has a 6 hour period of light and a 6 hour period of rest, twice a day. Effectively doubling the growth capacity...in theory. But seriously so far- puffiest, happiest, most PE showing SPS i've ever had in my 10 years of reefing.
