dang that sucks about the layoff. Moving a tank in a rush is never pleasent. I've had good luck with things recovering from similar situations so I hope you do to!

Keep us updated! the 75g's IM makes have such nice dimensions.

Oh man that sucks. I sure hope most of your stuff recovers--you included. Layoffs are terrible .

Great way to get your kids involved with nature. Even if it is captive ;)
You know it! Shes 16 months and "fish" is one of her few words she can say. If you ask her if she wants to go down and see the fish, the answer is always YES!

Did my first water test in a while and aside from my nitrates andphosphates, it's looking good. I had been battling some dinos and cyano due to the water being too clean, so I turned off the clear water scrubber, and started to feed heavy. It worked, but now I have to bring my nitrates and phosphates back down before they cause issues. Here are my latest levels. Lps, RFAs, BTAs and Zoas looking good, SPS-not looking hot

2/8/19

Ph-8.1
Dkh- 8.9
Calcium 490
Phosphates between .25 and .5
Nitrates 50

Found another reason why my SpS havent been looking so hot, my salinity was 1.032!!! ahhhhhhh. Been slowly lowering it by .001 a day. funny thing is its been like that for months and my LPS, fish and Nems have all been doing fine

That's the beauty of LPS and softies, they are much more forgiving of our OOPS moments. I did the same thing a while back. Brought it back to normal and nobody in the tank seemed to notice.

10 days later, my numbers are as follows

Ph 8.1
Dkh 8.3
Calcium 440
Phosphate .25
Nitrates 25
SG 1.027

Been bringing my salinity down slowly, everyone seems to be happy, more PE on some of my sps. A couple more days till I'm at 1.025.

As you can see my calcium consumption is about 40ppm a week. I'll continue to watch it and probably start 2part or kali to keep it stable and dose red sea colors(abcd) accordingly

Your scape looks different than proposed in the beginning. I think it looks great but why the change?

unexpected layoff at work, had to combine my 10 gallon tank with this one, that's why the extra rocks ended up in the center. More room for coals now!

Sorry to hear. Still, your excitement for corals shows great spirit and optimism.

Thanks!! We are now in growth phase as unemployment doesn't leave too much room for a coral expenditure lol. Hopefully something will come my way soon so I can buy some more!!

Thanks to my secret santa from this year, I had a $100 gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket to aquasd. Decided to pull the trigger on a piece I've been wanting for a long time...the RRC Pink Cadillac. Anyone have one out there care to tell me what works best for you? High flow and light? Also picked up their version of a jedi mind trick-they call it a rainbow jedi monti. Well see what it turns into when it grows up.

Got a little coral shipment in this morning from @AquaSD on this chilly 20degree day box came in nice and warm and corals seemed happy. Even got a freebie, which looks like an acan or favia of some sort. I'll do some digging once lights come on. Here are some pics of the haul.
