Ok. Here is an update. Looks great. Thanks Queen!I really the idea of adding the negative space and having the two structures meet with the overhang, that would be so sexy. Going to look awesome, post updates please!!
thanks so much!!Awesome video, super informative. Right on.
I love the arch/cave! Looks awesome
That looks cool!! What size tank? What are your plans for fish and corals?Just placed in the tank! What do you guys think?!
Thanks so much!! Want to make more videos about this topic here in the future expanding on things such as how corals come into play but they’re hard to make production-wise so TBD. I think arches can be beautiful, but I agree coral growth isn’t taken into consideration enough. I made the same mistake on my current 40g scape and my corals are practically touching the glass AND that aquascape was super minimalistic hahaI’m not much for reef videos .... too often they’re nonsense. Enjoyed yours though, mainly because I think I stink at aquacaping. I’ve found some success in applying the golden ratio to my reef layouts. Unfortunately the corals don’t cooperate as they grow. Not personally a fan of arches and I think that folks mostly don’t use open space (including moi) to good effect at all. Partly the aforementioned corals growing problem.
Here’s the one I just finished
She’s finished!!!! I know minimalist aquascapes are not everyone’s cup of tea but hey.
Will have bio bricks in my sump and will wait for fishies once corals are grown in a bit. Obviously fish options will be limited with this kind of aquascape, but I’m all about the corals anyway and am excited about the flow and coral growth potential. What do you guys think?
EDIT - just realized I already posted it in here haha. I guess here it is under lights!
