Does anyone have any idea why my Aquamaxx is spitting out so many micro bubbles and not producing skimmate? I have been running this skimmer for about 2 months and it has had periods where it would work OK and then periods where it would just produce a ton of micro bubles and not fil the cup.

Is it primed correctly?

might need a cleaning, sometimes the pump gets clogged with salt creep or the air intake is plugged with salt.

It should be. I took the pump out a Monday to clean it and scrub out the l pipe that the air line connects to.

I'll try it again. Thanks.

also make sure all the connections to the pump are secured, sometimes they don't sit properly and cause microbubbles to occur, especially if you see it going up both sides.

I made a ventri for mine to control the microbubbles after cleaning it.
I have also changed the tape holding the lid to velcro.
