jestersix Seashine Plasma 150G (Now 1YR Old)

Well, I really should have started sooner, but here goes. Build is an acrylic 150G 72x24x20. Lights are the new Seashine plasmas from Stray Light Optical. SWC 160Cone Skimmer in a Trigger System Ruby sump. Pictures are worth a thousand words

I have two on my 72 inch long x 24 inch wide tank, with a big, high intensity overlap in the middle. My guess is that you could cover 48 x 24 with one placed properly, as for depth - mine are 36 inches from the bottom of the tank and there is plenty of light down there. Once I get the PAR meter, I will post up tons of readings for everyone.

Cool light :D Did you get the standard 60X60 degree? I am very interest in the par; my tank is 36" deep. Getting tire of running the 400watts MH with the extra heat and $$$ TIA

Standard 60x60, yup. I have the local club's PAR meter scheduled for June 18-21, so should be able to post lots of PAR info for all that are interested. I'm thinking the Seashines will hold their own against the 400W. Mine are 16 inches over the tank and I get no temp bump - well, about 1 degree. I placed mine close together to get a strong overlap in the middle and have some shadows cast at the ends of the tank. If you wanted to go LPS or softies, I would bet a single lamp could light a 6 footer. My Acans are at the far end of the tank, and loving it!

I'd be interested to see some PAR numbers as well, it looks to me like those Acans want more light.
