Don't be shy to ask anything. I'm new and it took a few nights to navigate it all...still learning. If you ask, many will post a link to your answer.
Okay thank you for the tips! I was actually wondering how to start a thread... The "start conversation" button doesn't seem to come up for me

Come on in, the saltwater is fine!

“Start conversation” is for private messages if I’m not mistaken. Where/what are you looking to start a thread about? If you go to any specific forum, top right should have a button “post new thread”.

You actually started this thread so you're a pro at it! It works the same in other parts of the site. Just go to the forum you want to post in, and have access to, and hit start new thread.

The start conversation is for private messages. Click someone's user name and hit start conversation. Only the you and the member you PM will see the discussion.
