Light intensity

Anyone with radion xr 15 lights-what do you have your intensity at

what do you have your intensity set at

knowing all tanks different

my tank is 72x24x24 with 3 on it

75% with a custom radiance template, mounted with standard RMS on a 71"x23.5"x23.5" tank. These are with two XR30 G5 Blues and two XR15 G5 Blues.

I’m also trying to figure out what’s optimal. I have 2 on a 48x22x20 at 75% and my buddy keeps telling me if he had my tank, he’d be ripping it at 100% lol. Not sure what’s best?? I’ve definitely noticed significant growth since jumping from 50% so I’m intrigued what more light may be like

I have two gen 5 on my tank and was mislead to think they were stronger then other lights. I was running 70% and was shocked when I finally got a par meter. I now run 100% on the AB plus program which is barely 350 par at the top of my tank. I do run diffusers though but the lights are much weaker then I thought. When I switched the intensity up the corals responded immediately with much better color and growth.

Are the lights mounted at the suggested 8 inches above water? How deep is your tank? I’ll probably make my way to 100% as well

Yes standard RMS mounts. 36x22x22 tank. I know the diffusers take away some par but geez at 70% it was like 150 on my rocks 6 inches below the surface. You may be a little better with overlap coverage of 3 lights but your tank is much larger too. Mine is only 80g system.
