I had mine for over 3 weeks... Seen him everday until he went MIA yesterday... And no where to be found today... I have a lid and checked the overflow... Nada...

He did get freaked out three days ago when i was cleaning my glass and tried to jump out of my tank ... But bashed his head three times... But was stilll alive and out and about and eating for the next two days...

Do they hide for a few days and re appear? This really sucks ...

I'm hoping he's just hiding. they can go a few days without eating. hopefully, he doesn't have an open wound from hitting the glass or lid. that might cause an infection and sadly his demise. :(

good luck and hope he's just resting and recuperating.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I hope he's just hiding out from you. I use a small LED flashlight to find hiding fishes. For what its worth, my big male Lineatus has a great hiding spot, and I would have never seen it if I didn't watch him build it up over a few days.

5 days now... And still no where to be found... In have about 50+ nassarius snails... So I am going to assume, they cleaned him up pretty quick...

I think this is first fish I actually got a little depressed that died on me...
RIP, little buddy

Wow, sorry to hear that man. Are Nassarius snails known to be meat eaters? Have you gone through and moved all the rocks around and stuff? Even if he's dead, you'd want to get him out, as you don't want him decaying in your tank.

Yeah the Nas snails eat everything but algae... They are one of the best CUC crew IMO...

Yeah, I have given up all hope... 5 days and no sign of him whatsoever...

Yeah, I always fill my sand up with those guys, they clean up my sand very well and keep it churned up.

Sorry that you've given up hope, not an easy fish to loose.

Check the over flow again. I had a mystery wrasse go mia and I thought he was done. Three years later when I took that tank down I found him in the overflow. I really couldn't believe it. I looked in their so many times and I never caught a glimpse of him. to date i have no idea where he was hiding.

Yeah, it really sucks... Kind of hard to stare at the tank for long periods of time... But I'll get over it soon, just gotta find another fish...
