Many LPS are just slow growers compared to softies or SPS. I had heads of LPS for years that rarely added new heads or eyes. All depends on the coral. Your water can be spot on but a slow growing LPS can take years to show results.

I'm not saying you should have growth with dirtier water, but lps/zoas/softies all love dirty water!
You don't want your params to be perfect, like in an sps' system, but more nutrient rich...
It really helps them explode in growth!

I have some acro too like sshortcake and some red planet frags. Im not sure they are going to like dirty water although they hate my water and not the are browning out. But now my po4 getting high last time me and my lfs check it was on .15 so its on a high side already. I tried phosguard but after 2 days one of my acans shrunk so i pulled it out. Im thinking of using red sea nopox but pfs said its useless without a skimmer since i dont have skimmer. So just keeping up with 20% water change.
