No worries, I’ll get it figured out lol.Man, I'm sorry.
So yo hear. Maybe check some USA online stores for a replacement?? Might be worth a try.Anyone have any recommendations for a replacement pump? This things DOA. Tried to soak it in citric acid, no bueno. There seems to be electricity between the connectors, as I can hear it when I plug the power supply into the cord. However there’s not so much as a buzz or a slight vibration to the pump itself
Any ideas? I have searched but I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for. Searching the brand name brings nothing up so I’m thinking I’ll need a different one.So yo hear. Maybe check some USA online stores for a replacement?? Might be worth a try.
Ao really any of those wave makers would do what I want, it’s just which is preferI've used Jebao, that's what my gyre is on the peninsula. No issues. I think a few of the guys use Jerepet, also no issues. The one I'm hunting for out of my stuff is a hygger - I've never used them for bigger tanks but I liked the tiny one, put out a ton more power than I expected. Only problem was/is it doesn't hold my preferences if the power goes out.
Keep an eye out the Cafe I'm going to offer up some stuff today. Just need to clean and test.Ao really any of those wave makers would do what I want, it’s just which is preferI could probably do that for now, and wait and see if the Tariff situation gets fixed for the proper pump on the skimmer. I wouldn’t mind paying shipping for them depending on cost for sure but I will give them some time to sort it out before bothering them again. From what I recall a skimmer isn’t necessary until the tank is cycled, correct?
I can do some searching. What is the brand and model of the skimmer?Any ideas? I have searched but I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for. Searching the brand name brings nothing up so I’m thinking I’ll need a different one.
Skimmer is never truly necessary - it is helpful though. Skimmers do help aerate the water and they can be helpful by pulling particulates out of the water column thus helping lower nutrients.Ao really any of those wave makers would do what I want, it’s just which is preferI could probably do that for now, and wait and see if the Tariff situation gets fixed for the proper pump on the skimmer. Model/ what size tank is it for? It's an IOAOI I believe.
Congratulations on the win! Look forward to seeing the tank build!Welcome to my waterbox adventure!
Many of you know I won the newest @Waterbox Aquariums contest: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/the-waterbox-70-2-reef-system-giveaway-ahhh-yea.635666/ I am beyond shocked that I won and even more excited to begin this adventure. This will be my new tank build thread, in which I will edit my taggy thing above for this one.
My first plans are to locate the perfect spot. I don’t want it where the 60 was; the floor is a bit weak there with no plans in the near enough future to replace and once this goes up I’d rather not move it. So this gives me the living room. I will be measuring pros and cons of both potential spots. I am thinking of painting a mural behind the spot before it arrives.
Thanks to @RichtheReefer21 for the name suggestion! Anyhow, stay tuned! I am sure I’ll have a tons of questions, and photos to share.
It’s an OIAIO. I’m thinking my best bet will be an SCA pump.I can do some searching. What is the brand and model of the skimmer?
And no you don’t have to have a skimmer
