I agree. I was looking at going ghl and decided to try hydros, just for the cost. Being as I have 8 separate systems, hydros makes sense if it works well. I have 3 apex currently. 2 full systems and 1 el. Plus breakout boxes, lunar kits, light modules, etc etc. tons of money in it and numerous failures here and there. Don’t get me wrong, Apex replaced everything under warranty without issue, but for the price of hydros I could have 2-3 spares around for the same price.
As for rebranded power bars, I have some teckin and other WiFi strips that are in my shop and had the crap beat out of them and keep on working. So that doesn’t really bother me.
Time will tell though and why I have the hydros on the nem tank. Due to being almost 500 gallons of actual water, is the most forgiving of the tanks I have.
