Hey everyone! I had purchased this Marine Orbit LED because of the reviews I had seen, the only bad reviews were the penetration through the depths of the water, while I only have the 20 long so the deepest point of my tank is only 12 1/2 inches. I went ahead and purchased it, I do like the ramping feature, I do like the different weather settings you can apply (which I rarely use now) I feel that my corals are doing great! But I wanted to hear other reviews and settings!

I currently have it on for 12 hrs a day with sunrise and sunset set at 30 min ramp, 70% white and 65% Blue. I have a finger leather (top), frogs spawn (middle, bottom), Ricordia Mushroom(middle), nepthea Tree(middle), Kenya tree(middle), Green Star Polyps(bottom), they all seem to be doing pretty good!

Let me know your settings tank coral etc, or just simply leave a review! Thanks everyone!!

I had the same light on my 29g biocube and my zoas didn't seem to mind. They didn't grow much though. Sounds like they work good for you.

I also had the Orbit on my 29gallon biocube. I had the blues running about 60% and the whites at about 25%. Everything seemed fine for a bit because it was a similar switch from the Current Tru Lumen strips but it had a ramp timer and seemed like the better option. Everything remained the same with no noticeable growth and I ran this for over 9 months. From day one though I had noticed some nuisance hair algae that never went away. I recently switched to a reef breeders fixture and the algae disappeared within a week of using the light on a longer schedule than the Orbit. I am not loyal to any brand but I am convinced that this light belongs on a shallow frag tank and not on a display tank that is deeper than 8 to 10 ". I even contacted the company for a definite answer on PAR readings and it drops like a rock after 12". I gave it a try and like I said it should be noted that it does better on really shallow tanks but impressive features for the money

I just put 2 on my 90. So far so good but it's only been a week. Will update after time I guess.
