So 2 weeks ago I pulled the trigger and ordered the Elos Mini.
I have been looking for a nice Nano that fits the style of the family room. I wanted also more the "all-in-one" as I don't want to have cables and all kind of other equipment everywhere. Having to travel a lot for work it should be easy to maintain also.
I have been going back and forward between several nano rimless systems and just felt in love with the sleek design of the Elos.
Agreed it is not the cheapest system (and you pay for the Elos logo) but it has just that special something. At least for me.
Also I got the Elos e-lite LED lights. Even being a big fan of the AI LED's and their quality the module is just to big to match the sleek design of the Elos.
For my purposes the Elos light will be the optimal. I liked also the ATI Powermodule a lot but I wanted to avoid the light reflections around the tank and needed a light that just lights up the tank and nothing else.

Besides the Mini I got the following:

Controller
ReekKeeper Lite
RKM SL-1 Module expansion for PH probe and ATO
Digital Aquatics Double Float Switch Kit w/ Mounts

Powerhead
Vortech MP10 (running in reef crest mode)

Filtration:
15lbs of fully cured Fiji, Marshall and Bali LR
Chemi-Pure Elite

Substrate
20lbs of Aragonite Live Sand Fiji Pink

Below a few pictures of the setup and initial landscaping:

I got those silicon trivets from Target to place under the pumps to eliminate vibration...WORKS GREAT!!

It took the skimmer about 10 days to really kick in. Below are a few shots just after he really started working. In the mean time he is doing even better. Those pics are taken only a couple hours after cleaning:

Well the more the tank matures the happier I am with it.
The skimmer really kicked in now and is pulling some serious dark stuff. I was not expecting this to be honest.
Now I start dreaming of having a "couple" Mini's next to each other all with different themes....:lolspin: Just KIDDING

I added a few more corals and a pair of semi Picasso clowns. Those guys are still very little and young and still have to color up.

Will try to make some new FTS soon.
