Ahh nice. Hopefully mine clears out and doesnt come back if this process works.. knock on wood if it ever does, ill keep that in mind. [emoji4]I found an easier method of covering the tank is to use one of those blue plastic tarps you can buy at a hardware store for a few bucks. I have a little one 4 x 6 and strap it closed with a dollar store bag of bungees.
It feeds off marinelands maxi-jet 400 which I made a mistake. It is pretty loud for what it is. I will be switching to a cobalt mj400 which is a much quiet pump or the nyos viper. What are you using to feed the reactor?
After the 3 day blackout, things cleared up and I am now dosing Fritzyme 460 just to take the sludges out. I did a water change of 15% and things are starting to look better.
I just hope they dont come back at all. I just kept adding nitrifying bacteria while on blackout and fed more than normal to bring nitrates and phosphate up. Now, just consistent dosing of 460 but of minimal dose. I try to spread the recommended every maintenance amount of dosage that they suggested. Good luck on the tank man, i know its frustrating. If they come again, i will try the peroxide method or bleach. Let me know how yours turns out and ill keep an updated post as well in thr next day or 2.I’m also battling dinoflagellates in my frag tank. I’m going to give your solution a try. Thanks for sharing, and I’m glad things are looking better for you.
Tank gems added! [emoji4]
Yes they are, im starting to thi k im doing something right lolNice little sticks. Looks like they're coloring up nicely.
Thanks boss. Those are sick pieces. Great photos as well.
Mine randomly is not accessible and I have to reset the power on it. But what I did was install a remotely switched outlet to it so even when I'm not home I can reset the reeflink and connect to it.How about EcoSmart Live? I hear that it's not always accessible?
