So I promised myself I would put up my build thread on R2R when I had something to report, and I do, so I copied and pasted my progress from my local forum,
Hey Guys,
As some of you may or may not know, I am starting a fish breeding and anemone propagation company.
Anyway, thought I would document our progress. I would like to thank all who have helped us out with time and equipment and materials, could not have done this without you.
We are going to have a
36G with an Oscillaris and Maroon that are actually Mating!
50 Cube with Whyoming White Pair
54 Corner with Picasso Clarkii
29G with 1 Female Onyx and 1 male Superwhite picasso
10G with a pair of Sebae clowns
90G that we are using as a ultra BTA tank, rainbows, lemon drops, sunburst, flame tips and this

We will also keep the offspring of the onyx and picasso in the 90 let them grow up before we even try to sell them. we want to know what we have created.

A few hiccups so far
To get the 50 Cube into and out of the stand, the drain had to be rotated. The pipes were glued in and in an attempt to rotate the pipe

Also all the tanks are bare bottom, I came into the room and saw the maroon flirting with his refection, this is not good. It could stop mating with the oscillaris or even worse, think the reflection is another male and turn into a female and kill the oscillaris.

Also was on the r2r great forum challenge, posted my *** off and won a spot after 4 weeks of nuttyness. Well my name was drawn for a very nice bubble magus skimmer, which I traded for an LED Fixture, 20K 120W. will go over the cube!

It will be lit by a 120W Evolution LED fixture and I'm having Andrew build me a ceramic piece for it. Gonna.Look.Sweet.

Sooo yesterday I noticed that my Oscillaris and Maroon pair were cleaning their cave and shaking and shimmying a lot. Wake up this morning and see the tiniest clutch of eggs! (Look above her head)

Upon closer inspection, I turned the cave a bit more, the shadow on the right...all eggs, the clutch is huge!!!

Congrats Bryan! Look forward to seeing these hybrids!

Proaquatix ~ The Aquacultured Aquarium : Tank Raised and Captive Bred Saltwater Fish

They have been made before, but this isnt the best picture of them,I like these alot, and they are a very cool hybrid! The fins of these fish are large like a maroon at times, and look totaly awesome when they host in anemeones!

Thanks for the link Austin. In that link, it says they are the offspring from a maroon and a black oscellaris. Will Bryan's offspring probably look similar or completely different seeing as it's a normal oscellaris involved?

No problem.

Generally speaking, the off spring will have similer looks to them. However, the coloration on the fins, might not be as dark in coloration as we are seeing on the other hybrid.

I think there will be their diffirences between the fish for sure, but in all honestly, looking at the crosses, I do think the combo that Bryan has, will result in a brighter orange fish, with brighter fins, aswell as larger fins and possibly thinner or wider stripes than that of the other hybrid that we see in the artical.

The next step is waiting 7 days for the eggs to hatch, I am very happy that they have bread for him, and I can not wait to see how these do. I presonally have never seen the fry of this hybrid. I am courios to see if the fry are going to be on the larger side as they generally are with Osy's or if we will see smaller more delicate fry as you generally see with Maroons. Im kinda hoping for a medium, a inbewteen on the 2, if we can hit that, I think there will be good chances of the fry doing great on L strian rotifers! Maroon fry are generally smaller IME, and need smaller rotifers, that is the only problem I am currently seeing...
