Hello all,

Currently waiting for a new custom tank and decided to put together the aquascape to save a few pounds.

Main structures just about there. Now to finish the cove look and add more caves and overhangs for the fish and corals. Updates to follow :)

I should say the foundation rock will be under sand, why some bits of putty are not covered with glue and sand.

Good job! The cave you made will be a good spot for fish!

Thanks all for your comments ! Some updates..

Top of the tape is tank height. So around 40% max height with these scapes. Good room for some Acros to grow out :)

Big cave is for our fox face or eventually a marine Betta.

Going to add loads more little caves and small structures for fish to explore / call home.

This was 28kg of Marco rock, 5kg shelf type, 5kg hybride type and the rest their normal rock.

Sand will be banked. The plastic cup is the height at the back of the scape. Around 2 inches. And the front is going to be around 1 inch or slightly less.

Sand in the back is from our current system, yes we had a 4 or 5 inch sand bed .... Going to rinse this with RO multiple times and then test to see if we can use it in the new system. If it's bad we chuck it. Then some sand from the old tank to seed the new one.

Video of our current system at the end, old sand bed on the left and the removed sand on the right 👍

Like all the structures. Something I notice a lot, and I do realize corals will change the look somewhat, is that all along the back every structure gets to the same height, creating a straight line across. Just an observation.
