I'm fairly sure that if your glass blowing skills come close to your reefkeeping skills you'll be on easy street in no time! ;)
Thank you! I have a history of being very adept at picking up highly technical skills extremely fast so it will be an interesting experience. Glass is one of those mediums that’s extremely challenging and ultra frustrating so I know I’m really in for probably the toughest journey in my life, and I’m ok with that. I might have to climb Mt Everest or K12 to get there!

Rick,
do you have any snails and hermit crabs at all n your tank ?

Yes I have a bunch of Astrea snails and scarlet hermit crabs! The Astreas are constantly breeding so there are bunches of them. There’s also a halloween hermit in there. (there’s a few emerald crabs in there right now trying to clean up some bubble algae that’s growing too)

I’ve always got the packages from reef cleaners with all the other type snails for diatoms and cyno, ect...and never really been happy with them for hair algae and the glass.
I’ll try the Astrea snails now, thanks

I’ve tried a bunch of different snails too and for some reason Astrea snails always seem to do the best for me, they also seem to outlast all the others. These have had several generations at least in my tank, so they’ve been the best bang for the buck too. They’ve been very hard workers.
