Today I finally received my first 2 dart frogs from a local guy.
I took some pics of their tank and of one of them(the other was hiding).

Nice looking frogs
What are they???
Makes me miss mine
I got tired of culturing fruit flies
Seeing you nice looking setup has me thinking I might need some more :)

LOL! I almost want to sell my reef to do a big 50 gallon(yes, in the dart world 50 gallons is big) viv. jk, lol.
Do you have any pics of your tortise/s? Darts are a great hobby, soooo much fun to watch. Just to give an idea of the size of these guys, they are no larger than a thumbnail, index finger is more like it.

NIIIICE! Very chunky dudes, lol. I always thought that tarapoto were more orange???
My next tank will be either leucs, azureus, or orange lamasi.
BTW, are you on DB?

You're right, those are the std. The bottom chunky one is the female. She swells and thins constantly.. I think she's laying eggs but I've not seen any carried or had froglets appear.

I do slum around DB a bit, but I don't post often.

Cool, I have 2 males and hope to get some females. I'm shooting for 2.3.
Got any viv shots?
Do you keep other darts? That azureus in your avatar?

Yup, those are azureus and were my first. I also have 3 blue leg vents. Sorry, I don't have any viv shots. I'll have to post some soon.

I enjoy these guys more than my reef, honestly. :) I downsized to make room for a rack of frogs. Next on the list are some pums. I'm searching for some bright reds.. bris, bastis, nancys, blue jeans, etc. You have a next in line?

Great looking frogs.....If I was to do anything other then reefing it would be DFs....So I take it they are not as poisonous as reported?

Cool, I love azureus and vents.
Pums are great looking frogs too. I love Isla Colon because of the markings.
Next I'll most likely get either azureus, leucs, orange lamasi, one of those.
DFs require MUCH MUCH less maintenance, that's why they can be SO enjoyable.

Only when you lick them.
No, they are poisonous in the wild because of a type of ant they eat. In captivity they mostly eat fruit flies.

ARE YOU READY TO CONFESS TO CRAZIEST, DUMBEST, FUNNIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN REEFING?
