My SPS & Clam Tank

Thank you!

Haha.

The frogspawn has some space behind the acros. They’re fine for now.

That weird green stalked acro is an orange tipped Florida. Got it from Battlecorals.

Long stalk growth it seems even in Adam’s photos. Very interesting! Don’t underestimate frogspawn! I had trouble with it years ago. At night it reach out far and sting everything. Your the pro though why am I telling you this like you don’t know 🤣 !?!?!

This is how @Battlecorals sent it to me 😂

I laughed when I pulled it out of the styrofoam box. I wasn’t expecting that. Haha

Will do! I never really kept a frogspawn in a loooong time. I can move it a bit.

Might be fine. Hard to tell from photo. But watch at night. At least that’s when it would happen to me. Shine a light in and you’ll see how far it reaches.

The fish has been hiding. I couldn’t get a photo.

I do have a photo of him prior to adding to the tank.

Lot 1 = Large blonde male naso with streamers and a yellow pyramid butterfly fish.

Lot 1 has been unlocked. 🔑

That makes me want a bigger tank really bad!

Your tank and especially your clams are beautiful!

Did you have any issues with the tank adjusting to the new LED lighting? Did your alkalinity consumption change?
Thanks. I love clams so much. I think it’s so cool having an organism with organs like kidneys, foot, gills, and even a heart. I’ve always been mesmerized by oysters as a kid. I guess I’m just really into these 2 shelled mollusks. Did you know they are closely related to squids?

My tank hasn’t skipped a beat since switching to LED. The growth has taken off, and my alk consumption has definitely increased.

The naso is weird.

He’s hiding a lot and is very timid. His appetite is weak, but still there. He arrived skinny and seems lethargic compared to the nasos I’ve had in the past.

He’s staying a very dark color, which means he is stressed and not comfortable.

I know my tank environment is not the problem; it couldn’t be more perfect. I’m offering Nori, LRS, and Brine shrimp. He prefers nori, but the appetite is not good.

I’m worried for his sake. I don’t have any pictures of him because he’s either hiding or blending in with the background.

It’s only been a day? My biota yellow tang from Dr. Reef was the same way for 2-3 days. Wouldn’t eat hardly. Thought it was the food I was offering so bought several hundred dollars of all foods available 😅 still nothing. 2-3 days later he was swimming everywhere and eats literally everything. Hopefully just needs some recovering from QT meds and shipping.

My Naso in the past was like this the first couple of days until he adjusted to the tank.

Could it be cyanide poisoning?

Would that have passed after weeks of QT and holding?
I believe symptoms take a month or two to show up. The major symptom being hiding and lethargy

Interesting didn’t know it took so long. So ya it’s possible with the time frame then it would seem.
