I have a 65 gallon salt water tank, and I have never had any problems with any leaks. I had this tank for 10 years. I left for a week and return with water leaking all around my tank which ruin my hard wood floor severely and I lost all my fish. I am trying to rethink this set up before replacing it in the same location. Any advice on a leak proof set up.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!! A leak detector connected to automation could help mitigate the impact. A containment system with drain would also be an option.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!

Unfortunately tanks only last so long. 10 years is a long time for a tank to have all that pressure on the seams.

Some manufacturers are putting in armored seams that are reinforced. That could help it last longer.
