Nano LED help?

I've been trying to do some research on LED's as I would like to upgrade the lighting in my biocube and I must confess I'm a little lost and overwhelmed. Could anyone spare some time to point me in the right direction?

I would really like to put the LED's in the hood it has opposed to removing the hood, is that possible?

Soooo ... where do I start? haha

I just put a kit in my biocube 29 from aquastyle online it was 135 shipped next day and is amazing! It has veryrhing you need and many other things included. It was a bit of a pain to drill the heatsink using the screw holes from where the cfl bulbs were mounted but I got it done. Check out impurs nano in 90 build thread, I got the idea from him. He was very nice and answered several of my questions I had.
