How many snail or hermits do you have? When it's that long snails often won't help but hermits can get some of the longer algae.

Shortening the time your lights are on can help. You can also make the lights bluer if you have programmable lights.
I have 5 Red scarlet hermits. The rest is snails. I also run rations xr 30 g4 pro

I would add more of a cleanup crew. I have about 60 snails and 20 hermits in my 60g. Hermits can be a pain but they seem to help more when algae gets long.

phosphate reactor.. no feeding.. put a good light and cheato into the fuge..(eats all nutrients out of the water.. most other algea will die).. cut off light or reduce down to only a couple of ours.. increase snails and hermits.. get a yellow tang.. cool down the tank to 75.. scrub it off.. maybe even with a metal brush... take them out and let em try out.. and treat them..

Maybe get corals and fish out into your hospital tank in the mean time?
