I hate these buggers, can't feed my anemone, I have to keep my hand in the tank pointing at it until the food is in the anemone.

Even then its no guarantee, I've seen him reach into the mouth pull a half a silverside out from the belly of my nem.

Yes i have that problem too.. I usually put a net in the tank and everybody hides..lol

lure him into a net with food and remove that fool. i had to rid of mine when it started to rip food out my le chalices mouths. so annoying having to watch over them for an hour knocking it of the frag rack.

Another good idea I have read is to cut a coke bottle in half. Feed and you can use it as a shield. I agree though all shrimp are like little thieves. Lol

i placed 2 baby 1inch long cleaners in my tank and they destroyed my GBTA after they ripped all the food out of its mouth they began eating the anemone. i tried removing them and then i left the anemone where it was to heal and then the lil spotted starfish i rescued from my step mom's tank began to feast on it... i took the anemone and put it in a hang on frag tank and it didnt last 2 days.. luckily they dont bother my RBTA and my sexy shrimp owns that lol

I will never, ever own cleaner shimp in any tank that contains LPS that need feeding. They eat more than fish of the same size!!!

lol not bad idea...but i prefer mine on a small piece of rice dipped in soy sauce with a little wasabi!! hahaha

Haha not a bad way to go at all, i imagine they have to be dirty things to eat, wouldn't want to go the sushi route with him lol. Enough talk of eating my pet!!

I have never had issues with cleaners stealing stuff from LPS's...Now peppermints are a different story.

Have you ever considered feeding the anemone at the same time you add a reef food? This will litter the whole tank with stuff and should send the shrimp cruising all over the place to find it instead of focusing just on the silverside/anemone

I have, actually, it seems to work alright. The problem is that I don't think he's stealing the nems food to eat it, but rather to clean it, not sure why I think that. maybe because he takes it, disappears with it for a minute then comes back front like hes done with it.
