I have been living in Long Island NY alll my civilian life and we just got a hail storm with rain like I have never seen here before. The hailstones were almost as large as baseballs and they even broke the rear window on my car and made some dents.
Really wierd.

There's hail going through CT right now, but around me it's golf ball size at best.

right now id take hail instead of this 106 degree crap we are having in texas, this crap is unbearable

Right now its around 100 here in Missouri, today at 10:30 it was 99!HARD TO BELIVE,Im ready for winter...

I am in New Hyde Park.
It was about 93 degrees here all day but now my lawn is covered in ice. (and broken glass)
It has been near 100 all week here with 104 last week.

thats no bueno. yeah they were saying the heat index is 111. thats freagin crazy. i feel sorry for the city workers. Im happy i work in a hospital. we are seeing a lot of dehydrations. I actually just had to pronounce a man yesterday and he came in for dehy.

But i cant say i have seen hail larger than quarter size. Thats freagin scary man. be careful.

Ahahahah just playing.... Man it's been bad here.... August always sucks!!!! We get up to like 125 but the news says 109 lol... If they said how hot it really gets no one would come here.. We have thermometers at work and it's 117 in the shade... Put it in the sun and they don't register it pegs at 130

Yikes! I've never seen anything larger than pea-sized hail, and I'm thankful for that.

Yeah, it's miserable here in Texas. I'd take some crazy rain storms as well. Way to hot...

Quit your whining.... Try 113 with 70 percent humidty

I lived with that in Viet Nam for a year. Here in NY we get temps around 100 with 90% humidity. Last week it was 104.
The humidity in my house now is 70%.
NY is one of the few places where the temperature regularly changes 100 degrees or more from summer to winter.
But it is much cooler here now. It will only be 90 today. Maybe it's all that ice that fell.

Sitting sown here in Florida. 96-97 degrees 3000% humidity!!! Walking from the front door to the car I am sweating. The air conditioner in the car is pulling so much water out of the air when you stop it looks like the radiator is leaking. Now we have a tropical storm trying to form over by the virgin islands. Time to check and make sure the generator is working rights have a feeling it is gonna be a bad hurricane season.

Here is one of my solar panels that was damaged by the hailstorm.
My insurance is paying for the windows and dents in my car. The solar panel is $500.00, I am not sure if they are paying for that, but I am finding out.
My neighbor lost all the windows in his two cars and another neighbor lost 4 skylights in his house.
Not too bad considering how the rest of the country fared in floods, tornadoes and hurricanes this year.

Yes but you knew that when you moved to Florida. It is supposed to be hot there
Today will be about 93 degrees and our humidity is always 80 or above, and this is New York where 6 months ago it was 2 degrees below zero with 28" of snow.

I didn't move to Florida. I have lived here my whole life and I am still not use to this crap...lol
No matter where you live at some point curbing the year the weather sucks!
Before the hurricanes come we have to worry about fires. Then hurricanes come with flooding and tornados. But when everyone up north is have blizzards and can't leave their house we have 60 degree weather. I don't know of a place with perfect weather all year long.
