Is this an issue?

I’m trying to look into it but getting semi conflicting results

Its probably botherd by the sand on it, i would place it where it doesnt get sand on it and hopefully that is enough for it to get happy but test your water, nitrate, phosphate, calcium, kh/alk and magnesium as Well to see everything is alright there as Well but by the looks of it i belive the sand is bothering it

I'm not sure what you mean by exposed skeleton, it looks a little receded, but I don't think it likes having all that sand on top of it

Just moved the one on the sand, but the one on the left it’s okay if I see all that bone?

Thank you guys!

I was worried.

I got a favia frag like this in a shipment with exposed skeleton, but haven't had any issues.

I was cutting the frag plug off an acan that same day, and it split the skeleton in two, and the acan almost perfectly in half. Thought I killed it.. but a couple months (and target feedings) later, both halves survived. I think a some of these corals are more resilient than we give them credit for.
