Hello Saltwater Fam. Newbie on deck. Needed the fill a spot on my liquor bar and decide to start up a nano tank. Did the home work. Tank cycled in 5 weeks. Layer of brown slime pretty much everywhere. Week six added fish #1 Blue Damsel. Week 8 added a juvenile clown. They get along great. Added two snails . Surprisingly they along with Damsel eating practically all the slime. (Rocks/glass). Going to cap out the tank at 4-5 wish. Two questions…1. What colorful fish might I consider addingfor a tank (15g) this size and the combination of Damsel-clown. #2. How soon can corals be added? Thank you in advance for help. Lot of mixed info out there…when all is done I plan to add a 2nd tank on the other side of the bar…

So.. clowns and damsel's can be quite agressive.. my clown is the devil.. not that they all are but assume they are atleast on the dominant side.. damsel's.. same story dispite the size... having said that you should be able to keep any fish that is ok to keep in a nano.. i keep a royal gramma and a purple fire fish (both very pretty fish!) Make sure they have a spot to hide if there is agression! They are very mellow and i dont keep them with my clown anymore because of how mean he is.. i wont even own a damsel anymore... (not true i do love the dominos..) and i may put one in with the clown and see if they can figure it out in my fluval 13...

Also pistol shrimp/ watchman goby pairs are my absolute favorite! And are great in a tank this size! And dont really have issues with other fish in my experience...

Welcome, glad you are here! Your good to go with some easy soft corals at this point just research the care requirements for them.
