Nicrew vs Maxspect

Debating on lights. Nicrew 100w Gen 2 vs Maxspect Jump 65. Both are similarly priced. I think I would need 2 to cover a 36" tank 13" high. Which would you choose?

I have the nicrew 200 and the maxspect. What shocked me was the nicrew was less blue and more like a natural look at setting blue 50% and white 10%. On the maxspect I am at 75% and white 10%. I can put photos later if you want.

no experience with maxspect, but I'm happy with my nicrew, I like the colour it puts out. I've got a 100 watt on a 32 gallon tank, it grows anything.

Obviously 2x 200w Nicrew would be overkill in my scenario but yes even the Nicrew 100w has a higher white ratio over the maxspect. At the same time, having more red/green is pretty much useless for a reef?

I am not putting green or red, I use only blue,violet and a bit of white. Also the coverage is better on the nicrew. I think the nicrew 100 is a good choice. On maxspect I was never able to connect wifi so I use it on AP mode, for nicrew I bought the controller. Both apps are quite easy to use.

I’m having an issue trying to get my new jump mj-L290 to stay connected. It keeps going off line and the app reports “unbound” when I try to see what’s going on. BRS has to contact Maxspect for troubleshooting and delays days in communication. So far all that’s offered is the silly YouTube video on connecting which is only part of the issue as when I finally get it connected it goes off line overnight. Maxspect wants me to send the MAC address so they can access back door to check its status but I am very concerned about letting them into my network. I’m looking for reviews before I send it back for replacement or eliminate it from my choice of lighting.
