Currently have a 50 gal 4’x2’x 12” Tub and a 80 gal Tub 6’x2’x12” that have been cycling for months that will be used as grow out tanks. Originally I was planning on running radion xr15 g5, but that can get pricey. I’m thinking of using Noopsyche as I have seen and heard of good results with these lights.

The 50 gal 36” space will be for sps and 80gal 60” space for LPS and softies.

How many of the k7 v3 would I need for each tub?
How high would I need to mount the lights to acheieve 300-400 par in sps and 200-300 in LPS?

If not concerned with visual appeal just get some black boxes. Marsaqua, viparspectra or philzon.

So are the example Maraqua/Viparspectre equal to light quality output as the Noops? How would one rate the quality of LED lights lights? Noops, Ecotech, Red Sea, Orphek, etc.... I'm a T5 users and no nothing about LED

Any of the black boxes I listed are capable of upwards of 7 or 800 par. Plenty for what ever you are trying to grow. They just aren't visually appealing to me.
