Hey All - My trusty AI Sol Blues are beginning to fail after 5 years so it's time to think about replacing them.

Tank Info: 120DT (standard 4x2x2), 40b sump with mostly SPS and some LPS.

Growth has been very good, and I'm happy with the color rendition. They are set to 45W/65B/65RB.

I would like to stay in the same approximate budget if possible.

Would I be able to get by with something like the Hydra 26's or should I go for the 52' or similar?

Any suggestions?

If sticking with LED's solely then the Hydra 52's are a fine choice or if the budget allows, Radions!
These opinions will all vary but it just comes down to budget and preference between these two fixtures, both great lights IMHO.

I know you’re eyeing leds but consider T5’s as well or the hybrid units from ATI, Giesemann.

What about 2 hydra 26s paired with the aquatic life t5 hybrid vs 2 hydra 52s? It would be cheaper and in my opinion a better setup.

Not sure if it’s better then the main light source T5 only but it’s a option to consider.
Manny say you get best of both worlds and I have seen good results with this unit.
