Greetings all. This is the first tank thread I've ever started. I have been in the hobby since the early 90s and have kept mostly softies. I also had a species tank of just clowns and anenome.

I've just started my sps journey, and decided to document it.

Tank is a 65 gal with a trigger sump. It's lit by a Hamilton 250w 20k mh and two ati blue plus.

Current inhabitants are
2x clowns and the one anenome I kept. I've had them for almost 20 years.
A high fin goby and pistol
A pink diamond goby
A flame Angel
A flasher wrasse
A tribal blenny
And a melanarus wrasse.

Just started adding sps coral last year but every one slowly died. Started using rodi dosing two part and weekly water changes. some sps are doing okay, lps and zoa's grow well.

In tank flow is two mp10 cranked up to full and a gyre. Skimmer is a seaside cs5 (If I remember correctly).

Hope to take more pictures once the coral start growing.

Wow Kudos to you for keeping your clowns for 20 yrs. !!!

What is the distance between your fixtures and your sps placement?

Bottom of the fixture to the top of the water is about 10 inches.

Those two clowns have been through it all with me. They used to spawn but I haven't seen any eggs in a while.

OK so I got tired of every sps dying, and decided to reboot the tank.

Bare bottom @ the moment but will be adding a thin layer of tropic eden reef flakes soon. Used reef cleaners dry rock and some old live pieces. Also removed the tribal blenny who was a coral eating machine.

Going to be coral less for a while until the dead rocks get some life.

I really need to get a filter for pictures.

Added some test frags, and I'm upgrading my lights

Just a few things to look at.
