This will be a two question thread.
1. So I'm trying to find what PAR numbers are suitable for clams? I can keep them, but I'm curious about numbers.

2. Why do my clams look different under these lights? I had MH and they were amazingly colorful. I bought a teal crocea from Gonzo, but it looks blue under my lights. I put my squamosa under a buddy's MH and it had a nice green coloration.

I saw the clam in his tank and his picture is correct. Anyone have this happen to them?

I haven't ever seen a certain set of par numbers when it comes to keeping clams. I have always gone by the rule of thumb that if you can keep SPS your lighting should be sufficient for clams.

How far away is your clam from your lights?

I have seen them dull in color such as yours. I don't know why it happened though. Mine were under a 6 bulb TEK light close to the top.

He's doing well, just looks different. If I shine a flashlight on him, he's teal again

It's probably the color of your lights. What specific colors of LEDs do you have? Cool whites, royal blues, blues, warm whites, neutral whites...?

I'm not sure, I'll have to find out. They look like 6700K whites and RB. It doesn't really look teal under the whites only though
