Pebble in the Glass

While I was cleaning my cube yesterday I noticed a small pebble that had became embedded in the glass of the tank. I am not sure how it got there.

I was wondering if I should leave it so it keeps the hole filled or remove it? I am not sure which would leave the glass stronger, pebble in or out.

I will work on a picture today, it is in a difficult area to photograph from the in-tank side.
