Wow looks amazing so far!! Definitely following. Sorry if this was stated but what kind of corals? Sps or Lps?
Well I've got a collection of sps and lps in the frag tank waiting for the new home, but mostly sps

Awesome thread and beautiful tank. Are you done with the canopy/top by the way? I had thought you wanted to mirror the bottom. It could just be me, but as it is now the top looks "heavier" than the bottom.

For now I'm done with it. I was thinking about adding some more to the bottom to bring more to it. This is mirrored off my fireplace. Shiplap top and picture framed bottom. I've been seeking suggestions just haven't found anything that matches the existing decor

Been slow but here's the progress. Sump I built out of a 210 gallon 7' tank. I had 1/2" glass from a buddy which was a 180. I was going to drop the glass off at a glass shop, but we went and bought a glass blade for my skilsaw and one of us held water hose and the other cut the baffles. Turned out great. We've been putting roughly 60-100 gallons every few days. My rodi only does 100gpd. More supplies to pick up tomorrow.

Time for an update.
Tank is full. Got the plumbing done and 2 closed loops running and return pump going. Installed my bean animal. It's a real tight fit to work on but overall pleased. Got to work in the canopy still. Get lights, chiller, heaters, wavemakers wired up. Started dressing up the apex too

Amazing work! What’s the black box attached to the outside of the canopy on the corner?

Also, can you take more pics of the closet behind the tank, I was thinking about something similar for my next upgrade. It’s a great way to have the sump under the tank whilst keeping the skimmer easily accessible.

The black box is a speaker for my Living room sound bar.

I'll get some more closet pics.

Almost done wiring in everything. Trying to decide on wavemakers now. Was thinking about 2 gyre 350 on the overflow and 1 350 on the end side. Adjusted my closed loops and they are pretty strong. Still need to hang the LEDs and wire up the canopy. But here's the skimmer closet

Looks great. That closet design works so well! Reassuring to see it done before.

How wide is that closet? Looks like 12”?

It looks small but its 18" wide. Had to be that wide to get the skimmer out

Current stock is

85 different sps
35-40 different encrusting corals (montis and chalices etc)

All the other lps was moved with zoas to a 210 we started up about 4 months ago. You can see them in this video

We had to move the zoas and euphyilla out, the flow was just too much plus taking up real-estate for my true addiction. Plus I got lazy and added aptasia by mistake and battled like hell to get eradicated but after some time and 3 file fish it's under control.

Just swapped the halide bulbs to ushio 20k as I got them on sale.
